Boys Boys Boys. . .

~Sept, 2012
We had some visitors over and of course A and E were bouncing off the walls. Head butting their legs, jumping on their back and freaking out. So I chucked them both in the kitchen and told them, "You are out of control." Angrily A turns to me, hands on his hips and snaps, "No Mom! YOU are out of control!"

A comes up to me and tells me very officially, "Mom, I'm smarter than you. I'm not smarter than Dad, but I am smarter than you."

A and E were wrestling today and it was A's day. He was doing really good keeping his little brother subdued, although E put up a pretty good fight. Once they were finished, Daddy and I told E he did a really good job! He looked over at Daddy M angrily from the floor and said, "No, I din not!!" he flailed his arms on the ground and continued, "He's still alive!"

E and A were playing T-ball today with A's new gear. I of course laid down the rules. No hitting anyone with the bat. No swinging at the ball until every body and body part is clear. Simple enough. Not 5 minutes into it, I hear a blood curdling scream from A. E runs inside, eyes big, and says, "I din'n know what I was doing!" Big brother had a pretty good goose egg on his head.

Thanks for the Help

Making some changes

I've decided that instead of making this blog private, because in all honesty, I find that annoying. I'm going to be changing the names on here. I think about 100% of you that read this blog will know exactly who is who. So do not worry. I'm altering past posts as well. I feel this will be a more safe way to share my experiences with my family without the fear of someone using them against us. At least I can safeguard against predators and not give them my kids' names. That's also why if I ever mention you in this blog, I almost never say your name, just 'a friend of ours' or something to that effect. Ok- now that I have that out there. Here's some fun things that have been going on in the house of K!!

I am starting my CNA classes this month. I am absolutely thrilled and scared out of my mind. It feels like the right step in my life and for my family. So hopefully that feeling is correct. I think once I finish my CNA, I'll try to work full time in the evenings, so that M can go to class more and graduate! I don't care where I get my nursing degree... well, I do care a little, I want to get it in a credible university. Somewhere that will help me get a job, not hurt my chances. My mom tells me that I'll do more work than the nurses, but get paid less. I say, bring on the SCUT work!! *I may be singing a new tune a year from now, haha*

Doggy A is adjusting well to our backyard. She doesn't like being out there much, but she'll learn to love it since she's no longer allowed to be an inside dog 24/7. M and Doggy A are getting along well. As you can see they make a nice cuddly pair on the hammock. She did that all by herself too, he was just lying there when all of the sudden Doggy A is all over him. :)  We got her from some friends of ours, who adopted her from the shelter. They told us they thought she was abused. At first we weren't sure, but now that we've had a lot of strangers come over, we're pretty sure she was abused. I'm sad that someone hurt her and made her so fearful of humans, but I'm glad that we get to have her in our home now hopefully for the rest of her life.
Oh- and can you see the fence in our backyard there. That is new and we LOVE that our yard is completely fenced in now!

The boys are still trucking along. I tried to find photos of them being their silly, busy crazy selves, but this was all I could scrape up. E totally passed out from long days of fun! A is becoming more resistant to sleeping, so no photos of him passed out on our couch pillows. :)
A is getting more clever and more coherent of what I'm saying. So I have to be careful now. I used to be able to get away with not listening to what he was saying because he was usually just jabbering about nothing and just wanted me to say, "Mmmhmm." or "oooh wow!" now if I don't listen to what he's saying and I respond wrong he gets frustrated with me and he'll stomp off. Not good parent right there! So I am practicing my listening skills. Although, there are some times when I'll sneak him rolling his eyes at me because he's told me a buh-gillion times to listen to him and I haven't. Future A, I apologize for my negligence.

i like the idea of using the A E M.... instead of names. Probably a good idea. It's too bad we have to think that way.... but... there are crazies out there.

See ya Soon...
