Boys Boys Boys. . .

~Sept, 2012
We had some visitors over and of course A and E were bouncing off the walls. Head butting their legs, jumping on their back and freaking out. So I chucked them both in the kitchen and told them, "You are out of control." Angrily A turns to me, hands on his hips and snaps, "No Mom! YOU are out of control!"

A comes up to me and tells me very officially, "Mom, I'm smarter than you. I'm not smarter than Dad, but I am smarter than you."

A and E were wrestling today and it was A's day. He was doing really good keeping his little brother subdued, although E put up a pretty good fight. Once they were finished, Daddy and I told E he did a really good job! He looked over at Daddy M angrily from the floor and said, "No, I din not!!" he flailed his arms on the ground and continued, "He's still alive!"

E and A were playing T-ball today with A's new gear. I of course laid down the rules. No hitting anyone with the bat. No swinging at the ball until every body and body part is clear. Simple enough. Not 5 minutes into it, I hear a blood curdling scream from A. E runs inside, eyes big, and says, "I din'n know what I was doing!" Big brother had a pretty good goose egg on his head.

Thanks for the Help

Some Randomness

It's really late at night, or really early in the morning- however you want to interpret 1am. . . and I can't sleep! This is what I get for working evenings during the week! So in order to wind myself down, I remembered I had a few photos I wanted to share. This first one is of a butterfly I found while running one day. The poor thing was dying so I chose to take it home and let it die on our plants. . . what an awesome way to get a pretty decoration! yes yes that's horrible, but if it makes you feel better, if I knew how to save its life I would have. Anyway, butterfly came home with us after our run and the boys and I decided it would be a good time to draw on the sidewalk again.
I sure enjoy coloring with Ayden. Perhaps because I'm artistic myself or maybe because I just love playing with my boys. I think the latter has more to do with it than anything!
I mean, look how much fun we got to have together! This will be a memory I will cherish forever. Ayden helping me draw my pictures and Ethan squealing with delight because we're outside in the nice weather. I love it!
Last bit of randomness. Ayden learned today that when you get super excited about your yogurt, it is best to do your happy dance away from the spoon that Mommy is holding or you just might lose your sense of direction and run headlong into your food! He was nice enough to let me get my camera. Thanks Ayden. :)
