Boys Boys Boys. . .

We had some visitors over and of course A and E were bouncing off the walls. Head butting their legs, jumping on their back and freaking out. So I chucked them both in the kitchen and told them, "You are out of control." Angrily A turns to me, hands on his hips and snaps, "No Mom! YOU are out of control!"

A comes up to me and tells me very officially, "Mom, I'm smarter than you. I'm not smarter than Dad, but I am smarter than you."

A and E were wrestling today and it was A's day. He was doing really good keeping his little brother subdued, although E put up a pretty good fight. Once they were finished, Daddy and I told E he did a really good job! He looked over at Daddy M angrily from the floor and said, "No, I din not!!" he flailed his arms on the ground and continued, "He's still alive!"

E and A were playing T-ball today with A's new gear. I of course laid down the rules. No hitting anyone with the bat. No swinging at the ball until every body and body part is clear. Simple enough. Not 5 minutes into it, I hear a blood curdling scream from A. E runs inside, eyes big, and says, "I din'n know what I was doing!" Big brother had a pretty good goose egg on his head.

Thanks for the Help

Boogers and pretzels

Ayden is an exceedingly helpful little boy. He loves to please. He loves to make Daddy happy. He loves to make Mommy happy. We can't quite add Ethan onto the list yet.

Ayden is especially eager to please if he gets attention for it. "Ohhhh Ayden! Thank you sooo much!" I can get about anything I want if I say that to him. Almost too much of what I want sometimes.

Today as I was taking a shower, Ayden took it upon himself to feed Ethan and himself with whatever he could find and open. In this case, it happened to be pretzels. I came downstairs after showering and found both of them munching on pretzels all over the floor. I stuck my hand in the bag that Ayden was guarding and took a few out to eat.

He watched me walk over to the computer and sit down. He must have noticed that by the time I'd sat down that my pretzels were all gone. He quickly picked some up from the floor and brought them over to me, placing them on the desk next to my hand. I quickly told him. "Ohhhhh thank you SO much Ayden. That was sooo nice of you!" Hoping that I would get some more if I did.

I was not disappointed and received another Ayden sized handful of pretzels. Once I'd finished that pile he came over with one pretzel he was eating and gave it to me. He made about three or four trips to his pretzel pile on the floor before I noticed  his little finger stuck up his nose. . .

How long he'd been gold digging, grabbing pretzels and giving them to me is beyond me! BUT... and I cannot believe I'm actually admitting this, I still ate every little pile he gave me after I saw his finger stuck in his tiny nose. Never fear, the wet pretzels were swiftly removed from my mouth once it was noted that my own saliva had not made them moist! haha
